Helen’s spoken word and song poem released in 2004 held performances in Cargo London and Trafalgar Square Anti WAR demonstration; Coinciding with the visit of President Bush biggest Week Day Demo 20 November 2003 in British History Million People marched. Helen wrote and performed the ‘Inspirational Flame’ spoken word song poem 2003.
Helen has actively campaigned as part of the Free Satpal Ram Campaign composing the song “Old Friend” and being a fundamental influence in involving Asian Dub Foundation and Primal Scream to publicise this injustice through music.
She went on to lend her voice to Community Music, a 2000 studio album by Asian Dub Foundation. Activism for positive change has always been a part of Helen’s work.
Besides drawing other artist’s support for much needed causes, she has focused much of her efforts to highlight the plight of the black community both in the UK and abroad. She has championed the quest for justice, equality, peace and maintaining strong communities.
